Rakhi R Nath

Rakhi R Nath is a student of Sri Chandramana Narayanan Nambootiri of Perumbavoor, Kerala. She was adjudged Carnatic Music winner at Mahatma Gandhi University State Youth Festival & Yesudas Augustine trophy competition . And have received the best Carnatic vocalist award from Kozhikode Samoodiri in the year 2009 .Apart from Carnatic Music, Rakhi has also won several state-level prizes for Kadhakali Sangeetham. Rakhi further trained on Hindustani music from Ustad Fayaz Khan and Mohan Kumar.
After her arangattom (debut) at the age of 12, Rakhi went on to give numerous Carnatic concerts in India and overseas. She was also a participant of Idea Star Singer 2007 on Asianet television.
Rakhi has sung for Malayalam movies including Minnaminnikkottom (2008), Kaanakanmani (2009), Loud Speaker (2009) and Kerala Cafe (2009) for music directors Bijibal and Shyam Dharman. Have sung more that 100 jingles and voice overs for ads .
She did her Masters Degree in Public Relations & Advertising from
SCMS Business School, Cochin, Kerala.
Apart from training students, Rakhi performs contemporary Carnatic fusions and releases them on YouTube and other social media platforms. She is also the lead singer of her band ” Saptham” which has given many performances in the Bay Area & other states of US.

Sarangi School of Music is dedicated to teaching Indian Carnatic classical music in its purest and the most authentic form. The intent of this institution is to equip its students to become performers with strong basic foundations that will enable them to further develop on their own. Established in 2016 by renowned musicologist Rakhi R Nath, Sarangi School of Music specializes in disseminating Indian Carnatic classical music in its purest, most genuine form. Students of Sarangi school of Music are regularly invited to perform at various music festivals and cultural activity platforms throughout the Bay Area. The school also encourages and guides its students through various music competitions, both online and offline, and is a proud recipient of many prestigious awards.
