The Band Saptham

The brainchild of lead vocalist Rakhi R Nath, Saptham is the Indian Rock fusion music band of seven talented musicians who blend traditional Indian melodies with modern rock influences. The Bay Area-based band is composed of a vocalist, guitarist, bassist, drummer, keyboardist, percussionist and a violinist. The band is known for their energetic and dynamic live performances that take audiences on a musical journey through different styles and cultures. The band’s unique sound is a blend of Indian classical music, folk music and western rock, which creates a fusion that is truly captivating. Rakhi’s powerful voice, Apu Battan’s soulful sound, Sai Venkat’s grooving rhythms, Jithesh Rajan’s driving beats, Ben Thomas’ melodic lines, Hareesh Pathasarathy’s intricate rhythms and Rupesh Kartha’s melodic phrases, together they create an unforgettable experience for the audience. Saptham is a band that pushes the boundaries of traditional Indian music and creates a new and exciting sound that appeals to a wide range of audiences.
Saptham performs in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Bengali apart from English and carnatic rock fusions. The band has been performing at fundraisers, and other music and dance fests across the Bay Area. The members of Saptham band are Rakhi R Nath (Vocals), Ben Thomas (Keyboard), Rupesh Kartha (Violin), Sai Venkat (Bass), Apu Battan (Guitar), Hareesh Pathasarathy (Percussionist) and Jithesh Rajan (Drums).
